In light of the realization that Ultra Music Festival is just over 2 weeks away, I decided to post a new track I found a few days ago courtesy of Chemical Jump. Madeon is a French kid who is 17 years old, and despite his young age, is making his first appearance at Ultra Music Festival. 17 years old? Playing at the USA’s largest music festival? It’s borderline absurd. Ignoring the fact he looks strikingly similar to Justin Beiber, his music is awesome and he manages to capture the increasingly rare sound of french house (which has been ignored selfishly by Daft Punk and even Justice, as of late). Regardless of your tastes, you’ll be hard pressed to not enjoy this song.

Every year (for the past 3), Dirty South and Flufftronix have put out a mix on Valentines Day appropriately titled, “Luvstep”. Now, normally I’m not a huge advocate of dubstep, and I can honestly say I absolutely am not starting with this mix. I will, however, say that this mix is so tame on the dubstep that it really is something I look forward to annually. The way Dirty South and Flufftronix are able to get that lovey dovey Valentines Day sound throughout the entire mix is always pretty amazing and it sounds unlike any other mix put out. Must have in the itunes library.
The odds of someone being able to capture one significant moment with a camera, in all of its epic glory, are usually pretty slim. There are photos that are taken that simply remind you of events, and there are photos to help you remember certain things, but the best kind of photo is the kind that can capture what you felt in that moment. This is the only photo of somebody close to me that I can think of that does just that. Apurv, Angel, and Samson, you were a part of one damn good photo.
New York City is a place that ones imagines out of a story book; bright lights, dreams coming true, and impossible thoughts becoming a reality. Despite this implied mystique “The City” brings, people most often fail to realize that you are who you are regardless of where you are…no city in the world will make you anymore, or, less brilliant, beautiful, desired, driven, lucky or lazy. A place is simply where you’re thoughts are formed, and regardless, those thoughts are yours.
