So not more than a few hours after being in the city of Chicago, hunger began to set in on my entire family. Jolene, missing Singapore cuisine, was craving sea food so my Dad looked online and found a place that was very close to the hotel, and had good reviews. Upon first impression it seemed like an over priced oyster bar with way too many beautiful people for my taste. The wait was estimated at about an hour and a half, so we decided to wait in the bar and get some appetizers and drinks whilst we waited. Luckily, before all of our patience wore out, Michael, my brother, was able to talk our way into a very nicely located booth in the dining room/bar area.
Wow is all I can say.
Shaw’s Crab House provided me with quite possibly one of the best meals I have ever been blessed with. A meal that included oysters, shrimp cocktail, grilled butter shrimp with sea food rice, and to top it all off, a little key lime pie.
Now sitting here, taste buds rocked to their core, I can rest easy ready to tackle the day tomorrow. If anyone ever has a chance to visit Chicago, I would highly recommend Shaw’s Crab House.
